Prince William County is at the southern boundary of what is considered the Virginia suburbs of Washington. The major towns include Manassas, Woodbridge and Quantico. The county offers an abundance of outdoor opportunities. It is the four-time host of the Presidents Cup, and there are 12 daily fee golf courses. Prince William Forest Park is the largest National Park Service property in the Washington, DC region. Quantico is the home of a large Marine Corps base and the National Museum of the Marine Corps as well as an important FBI training center. The Manassas National Battlefield Park is the site of two Civil War battles and offers tours to the public. Potomac Mills, located in Woodbridge, is the largest outlet mall in the region.
Many residents of Prince William County are employed by local companies, including US defense contractors or commute to other Virginia suburbs or to downtown Washington for work.
