Center for Jewish Education

The Louise D. and Morton J. Macks Center for Jewish Education is a constituent agency of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. The agency serves as a partner and resource for educational planning, addressing the educational needs of the community on behalf of the Federation and the Jewish community. Together, the CJE and THE ASSOCIATED work to make Baltimore a more vibrant Jewish community for all of its members

The CJE provides educational and financial resources for affiliated and associated institutions and for the community at large, while respecting the autonomy of each program.

The CJE is committed to the professional development of Jewish educators, serves to facilitate cooperative use of services, initiates innovative model Jewish education programs, and addresses Jewish educational needs that arise in our community.

In addition to CJE’s in-house community learning opportunities, CJE identifies public venues where Jewish people are congregating and offers content-rich Jewish programming to help uncover the joy of being Jewish.

The Macks Center for Jewish Education is committed to enhancing the connection to life and learning of individuals with special needs, so that they can more fully participate in the Jewish community. Through CJE’s work, these individuals develop their Jewish educational, spiritual, cultural, social and religious lives. CJE works with local educational systems, Federal programs and other area non-profit organizations to help parents of students with special needs find the resources and connections they need to assist their children.
