Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is designed to help adults in the lives of adolescents learn how to assist a youth who is experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

YMHFA is a 6.5-hour course broken down into 2-hours of self-paced online learning followed by 4-hours of in-person instruction. To sign up for the 4-hour instruction please fill out the information below.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a 3-year certification.
