Taste The High Holidays: Holiday Swag bag and Pomegranate Class

Celebrate the High Holidays with the DCJCC! Grab our Rosh Hashanah at Home Holiday and Activity swag bag and get ready for a sweet New Year. During our class on September 16, we will learn to make a chicken dish and cocktail featuring pomegranates (who knew that was a holiday symbol?) and nosh on apples and honey as we cook. We’ll also teach a quick and easy Rosh Hashanah craft project for sending sweet notes to your friends and family, as well as talk about how to take part in Tikkun Olam this holiday season.

For $25.00, add on a custom High Holiday swag bag complete with cocktail ingredients (minus the vodka) to enhance your virtual experience. Contactless pickup will be held outside the JCC on Sunday, September 13.

Swag Bag includes:

• Materials for making your own High Holiday cards and decorations
• 1.5 oz jar of local honey
• POM juice and ginger beer for your cocktail
• Scented candle to bring in the season
• Recipe cards for both activities
• Blessing card for the High Holidays
• Educational pieces from the Morris Cafritz Center for Social Responsibility to learn about tikkun olam.
