HerTorah: Women* Writing Torah Series: “Safrut: The Art & Insight of a Torah Scribe”

Wednesday 1/26 @ 8:15-9:45pm EST

The beauty of painstakingly, lovingly hand-lettering the sacred text of the Torah. An artist making the Torah her own. What does that feel like? To put so much of yourself into the actual Torah scroll?

The Art and Insight of a Torah Scribe

Come learn with us. From three incredible sofrot/scribal artists — Julie Seltzer, Rabbi Yonah Lavery-Yisraeli, and Shoshana Gugenheim Kedem —sharing what it means to them to write the Torah. We’d love to hear what you think.
