Confronting Climate Change: A Jewish Perspective on Community Responsibilities
with Joel Scheraga, Senior Advisor for Climate Adaptation, Office of Policy in the Office of the Administrator, EPA

Since the beginning of time, the Earth’s climate has been changing. What’s different now is that the climate is changing at an increasingly rapid rate, outside the range to which humans have had to adapt in the past. Scientific evidence suggests human activities are a significant cause of this change. This lecture will explore the connections of modern climate science and the teachings of the Torah. The Torah provides insights into the ways in which human behavior affects the Earth’s climate and then holds us responsible for protecting the environment.
