Join us on the 16th street steps of the EDCJCC with internationally renown Israeli street artist Anat Ronen, Friday June 3rd from 4-6 to spread messages of tolerance and love this Shavuot. Or pick up your own chalk, and #ChalkOverHate wherever you live!

In 2021, there were 853 cases of gross antisemitic vandalism in the United States. Each act of vandalism – each swastika drawn or “Jews Go Home” painted – opens the door for more violent attacks.

Less than two weeks ago, Artists 4 Israel and the EDCJCC announced our intention to counter this hate offensive and to battle vandalism with art. In 10 days, we have registered more than 15 partner organizations. They and their multi-faith and multicultural allies, are poised to far exceed not only the 853 acts of hate but even the 900 artists we were seeking. What haters built in a year, we are taking down in under a month.

Join us on June 3rd, Shavuot and National Gun Violence Awareness Day for our Chalk Over Hate: DAY OF ACTION. Chalk in your community, join a partner organization, go with friends or just leave your own message.

Together, we are empowering everyone to be an activist, an advocate and an artist! Register here to join us at the EDCJCC from 4-6PM on the 16th street steps or just grab some chalk, draw an image, write #chalkoverhate and send us the picture. Be part of the more than 900 strong.
