Tifereth Israel is located at the northeast corner of 16th and Juniper Streets, NW. Juniper Street is almost six miles north of the White House in the “fourth alphabet” of Washington, DC. This is north of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and about a mile southwest of downtown Silver Spring, MD.
MetroBus route S4 runs past the door on 16th Street, connecting with downtown Washington, DC, and with the MetroRail Red line at Silver Spring, MD Metro Terminal. From the Red line at Silver Spring Metro Terminal, a valid rail-to-bus transfer and 25 cents is sufficient fare on the S4 bus to our door. Alternatively, the walk from Silver Spring Metro Terminal is under one mile. Silver Spring Metro Terminal is also served by a variety of MetroBus and Montgomery County, MD Ride On bus routes.
