Moishe House Rockville

Moishe House Rockville is a community space by and for young adults in the Greater Washington area. The house residents collaborate with friends and community volunteers to plan a wide variety of social, religious, educational, and cultural events and outings. Since its founding in June 2007, MHSS programs have included Shabbat dinners, movie nights, barbecues, classes on topics in Judaism, holiday observances for Sukkot, Passover, Shavuot, & Purim, trips to fairs and carnivals, inter-faith learning, nature hikes and camping trips, talks by local social justice workers and activists, Shabbat services, music concerts, yoga sessions, house parties, and more. Jews (and friends of Jews) aged approximately 18-32 are invited to get involved. MHSS is unaffiliated with any particular political or religious ideology within the Jewish world and strives to nurture a diverse and friendly young Jewish community.
