Zemer Chai, The Jewish Chorale of the Nation’s Capital

Zemer Chai sings the rich musical heritage of the Jewish people, including liturgical and classical pieces, Jewish folk music from around the world, and new works composed for the choir. It was founded in 1976 by Eleanor Epstein, recognized as one of nation’s leading Jewish choral directors. The choir performs throughout the region at Jewish and community events, including appearances at the Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Institution. The choir is a regular featured performer at the North American Jewish Choral Festival,and has performed in concert halls in New York City and Boston and throughout Israel.
