Shirat HaNefesh

Shirat HaNefesh (Song of the Soul) is an independent, pluralistic Jewish community drawing members from Montgomery and DC. We welcome seekers of all ages and backgrounds who want to taste the beauty of Jewish tradition in music, spirituality, and culture, and who want to be part of an intimate and truly welcoming community.

Our community attracts seekers from all sorts of backgrounds. We fill our services with music and consider no question too foolish to ask. All who are “on a Jewish path” are welcome, including interfaith families.

Rabbi Gilah Langner and Cantor Ramon Tasat will inspire and move you. Religious education is intimate, hands-on, and individualized. Find new joy and meaning in your Jewish heritage!
