National Center to Encourage Judaism

Provides grants to synagogues, consortium or organizations that provide adult Jewish education or Introduction to Judaism courses so that there can be advertisements in secular newspapers. Publishes newsletter, Jewish Proclaimer, three times a year. Subsidizes advertisements for Introduction to Judaism type courses. The National Center to Encourage Judaism is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit private foundation which encourages conversion to and retention in Judaism. It supports the efforts of synagogues and other Jewish institutions to reach out to Jews and non-Jews, to welcome interest in and learning about Judaism.
All funds go for grants, production of the Proclaimer, and miscellaneous petty expense. No funds are used for salaries or other expenses. The Center is independent and lay-run, not affiliated with any other organization.
