Jewish Theological Seminary

Operates undergraduate and graduate program in Judaic studies; professional school for training Conservative rabbis and cantors; Melton Research Center for Jewish Education; the Jewish Museum; and such youth programs as the Ramah Camps and the Prozdor high-school division.

Founded in 1886,the Jewish Theological Seminary of America is the premier center for the academic study of Judaism in North America and is the spiritual center of Conservative Judaism worldwide. Its New York City campus houses the Albert A. List College of Jewish Studies, the Graduate School,the Rabbinical School, the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education and the L Miller Cantorial School and College of Jewish Music. J.T.S. has a student body exceeding six hundred and a faculty of more than one hundred full-time and part-time scholars. Other programs include the Library of the J.T.S., the Jewish Museum, the H. L. Miller Cantorial School and College of Jewish Music; William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education; Albert A. List College of Jewish Studies; the Melton Research Center for Jewish Education; National Ramah Commission; the Louis Finkelstein Institute for Religious and Social Studies; the Saul Lieberman Institute of Talmudic Studies; the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies; the Schocken Institute for Jewish Research; the Shalom Spiegel Institute for Medieval Hebrew Literature; and the Rebecca and Israel Ivry Prozdor High School.
