Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital

The Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital is the premier leadership development organization for girls, with 89,132 girl and adult members: 63,944 girls (grades K-12) and 25,088 adult volunteers and members. With the support of dedicated adult volunteers and parents who give their time and treasures, and the generosity of corporations, foundations and our popular Girl Scout Cookie program, Girl Scouting provides girls with ways to learn new skills, participate in a variety of activities and service projects and make new friends.

The Girl Scout Council serves the Greater Washington Region, which includes Washington DC; in Virginia: the cities of Alexandria and Arlington, and Arlington, Clarke, Fairfax, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Page, Prince William, Shenandoah and Warren counties; in Maryland: Allegany, Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s and Washington counties; and in West Virginia: Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral and Morgan counties.
