Family Matters of Greater Washington

The Mission of Family Matters of Greater Washington is to create brighter futures for all ages by improving individual, family, and community life through professional services and programs for those less fortunate in the Greater DC area. The Vision of Family Matters is to address the issue of poverty by providing services and supports to low-income families and older Americans.

Family Matters of Greater Washington’s Camp Moss Hollow welcomes in-kind donations for campers 7 to 14 years old including: Sheets, blankets and sleeping bags • Towels and wash cloths (must be new) • Raincoats and ponchos (must be clean)
• Sweatshirts for cool evenings and hikes (must be clean) • Bathing suits and shower shoes (must be new) • Combs and brushes • Hair accessories for girls • Girls and boys underwear and socks (must be new) • Playing cards • Board games: such as Checkers, Chess, Uno, Monopoly etc. • Craft supplies: construction paper, glue, beads, tempera paint, baby food jars (for crafts, etc), craft sticks, tissue paper, yarn, brushes and easels • Plain white t-shirts for stenciling and special events (must be clean) • Garden supplies: gloves and garden hand tools • Basketballs, soccer balls, softball equipment and tennis equipment • Wearable items are needed in all sizes • Outdoor activities: white plastic chairs, picnic tables and benches
