Dorothy Day Place

This transitional housing program for women living in Montgomery County, Maryland provides a crucial bridge between homelessness and permanent housing. This is not emergency housing, but instead follows the continuum of care to end homelessness through case management and ongoing support.

Services
Dorothy Day Place is a transitional shelter for single adult women who are homeless and over the age of 18. Case management services at the shelter include job readiness, educational services, life skills training, mental health support and substance abuse counseling.

As our residents transition from homelessness to permanent housing, they are especially in need of clothing and healthy meals to prepare them for steady work and self-sufficient lifestyles. You may donate items in-kind
