Chesed Shel Emet (Hebrew Free Burial Society)

The Hebrew Free Burial Society provides free funeral service and burial at the Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery to any Jewish person who cannot afford a funeral. The Hebrew Free Burial Society is a separate program from Chesed Shel Emes Aid and is not affiliated with Yad Yehuda of Greater Washington.
​Hebrew Free Burial Society Service:

• Free Burial provided by Hebrew Free Burial Society​ at the Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery.
• Burial at the Chesed Shel Emes Cemetery in Capitol Heights MD.
• Free funeral service provided by Torchinsky Funeral Home or Sagel Bloomfield Funeral Care. (​Those wishing to have a loved one buried at another cemetery would not qualify for this program.)
