With COVID-19 infection rates rising dramatically in recent weeks, Israel implemented a three-week nation-wide lockdown over the High Holidays. In contrast to the first wave, when the number of cases in Arab society remained relatively low, Arab communities now account for 75% of Israel’s ‘red zones’.  Join the Greater Washington Forum on Israeli Arab Issues and the Inter-Agency Task Force  on Tuesday, October 6 at 12pm EST to learn how Arab medical professionals and community leaders are working to flatten the curve in the face of deepening social and economic strains.

Dr. Fahed Hakim, Medical Director of the Nazareth Hospital, and Nidal Othman, Deputy Mayor of Tamra will share their experiences from working on the frontlines of public health and community response. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
