A COMMON GOAL (film)
Almost half the players on the Israeli National Soccer Team are Muslim, including the captain. The team’s diverse group of players causes controversy, especially during an important European tournament, most of it provoked by racist fans and the media. The players have their loyalty questioned by all sides while trying to guide Israel’s national team through the year’s biggest international challenge.

CONVERSATION
A Common Goal director Shuki Guzik will be joined by Bedouin Arab Israeli tennis player Shadi to discuss the role of sports in building and supporting shared and equitable society in Israel. The conversation will be moderated by Erica Shaps, Program and Resources Manager at the Inter Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues.

Registration for the discussion is included with your pay-what-you-choose film rental of the film A Common Goal. The film will be available via JxJ’s virtual cinema platform from May 23-May 30. Watch the film on your own schedule any time before the panel discussion on Wednesday, May 26, 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.
