The Generations After will present a program titled Rebuilding Lives: From D.P. Camps to the U.S. and Israel. It will feature two prominent historians (Dr. Beth Cohen, lecturer in Religious Studies and Jewish Studies from California State University at Northridge, and Dr. Dalia Ofer, professor of Holocaust and East European Studies at The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. They have researched extensively those experiences, revealing what attributes contributed to the rebuilding of survivors’ lives, what elements stood in the way, and how they were greeted by the Jewish communities and their own non-survivor families. Dr. Ira Brenner, clinical professor of Psychiatry at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, will serve as moderator. These three individuals are experts on the little-understood but pivotal period after World War II from liberation to the early years of Jewish Holocaust survivor resettlement in the U.S. and Israel.

Please register at RSVP Generations After August 29th Tea and Annual Membership Meeting. There is no fee, and registrants will receive a Zoom link to the program.
