Operation Understanding D.C Speaker in Honor of MLK Day

On Shabbat morning,  coinciding with Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, Tikkun Olam at Beth El will sponsor a speaker from Operation Understanding DC  to discuss the innovative program in which a group of Jewish and African American teens spend a year sharing their values, developing lifelong friendships, and visiting points of interest for both communities during a two-week road trip around the USA, culminating with a visit to  Selma Alabama and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  Mark your calendars!  Please join us for an inspiring and educational Shabbat morning.
