Calling all grandparents from the Greater Washington area and beyond…

Join facilitator Amalia Phillips, lifelong Jewish educator turned compassionate listening coach, as she leads this four-part workshop on compassionate communication and becoming a powerful peacemaker in your family.

This workshop will explore the five Core Practices and learn the skills necessary to bring these powerful practices into your daily life:

  • Cultivating Compassion
  • Developing the Fair Witness
  • Respecting Self and Others
  • Listening with the Heart
  • Speaking from the Heart

Here is a chance to enjoy deep social connections with other grandparents while developing skills and cultivating resilience and compassion. We especially need these skills and the circle of brave fellow learners to gather in a supportive space in these challenging times.

This program is in partnership with the Bender JCC of Greater Washington, Edlavitch DCJCC, Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia, PJ Library, and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

Cost: $100 per participant; $80 for an additional household participant
