Join us for a workshop that will take your family through an exploration of your own values, what Judaism says about giving, and choosing an organization you’ll make a donation to as a family.

Take a break from Black Friday shopping for some fun, interactive family time!

Raising socially responsible children is no small feat, and one important aspect of that is instilling the value of tzedakah, or giving, to organizations doing important work around the community. Join us for a workshop that will take your family through an exploration of your own values, what Judaism says about giving and philanthropy, how tzedakah is different from charity, and ultimately choosing an organization you will make a donation to (in any amount you decide) together.

We encourage grandparents or other family members to join you in this interactive, fun experience of learning and decision-making!

Bonus activity: All participants will receive a guide to making a tzedakah box out of recycled materials you can find around your home as a bonus activity leading up to this workshop. We will ask anyone who makes their own recycled tzedakah box to show it off at the beginning of our session!
