1st Friday Tot Shabbat, Potluck and Family Service

Children are always welcome at ALL of our services, but the first Friday night of each month from September to June is specially designed for families. Tot Shabbat introduces Judaism to children not yet old enough to read. Our Family Services aims to last about one hour (but sometimes extends further if we add an extra song or two), followed by a festive Oneg Shabbat, and usually feature a different religious school grade. Services feature our fabulous Temple Shalom Youth and Teen Choirs with camp-style music on guitar to engage and uplift the congregation of all ages, while the Rabbi usually tells a story or offers a grade-appropriate sermon. Between Tot Shabbat and Family Services, often over 100 members join for a festive Potluck Shabbat Dinner in our Social Hall.
