Sukkot in Spring Home Repair Program is Yachad’s signature program. Since 1992, hundreds of single-family homes have been repaired. Yachad recruits area synagogues and other Jewish groups to tackle serious home repairs for lower-income families in our community, many of whom are elderly or disabled. Yachad provides site selection and site preparation for each project in Washington, DC and works with Rebuilding Together, Inc. for projects located in Montgomery County, Northern Virginia and Howard County. Sukkot in Spring is now the largest home repair program sponsored by the Jewish community in the nation.

The cost of a home repair project is $2,500 if there is only one sponsor. If there is more than one sponsor, the cost is $3,500. The additional cost is due to the need for greater project planning supervision and site preparation. Financial assistance is available for first-time group participants.
