Will check garments to make sure that they are not made of wool and linen.
Shatnez is the prohibition of wearing a garment that contains wool and linen. Because of the specification in Deuteronomy (22:11), the Rabbis of the Talmud ruled that law of shaatnez refers only to garments made of a mixture of two specific animals (cattle and sheep) and vegetable fibers. However, wool or linen may be mixed with cotton, silk, and other fibers in the manufacture of products other than clothing.
