Bender JCC of Greater Washington - Marketing Account Manager

The Marketing Account Manager is under the supervision of the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with the marketing team and program staff.

The Account Manager is responsible for fostering and managing relationships with departments; designing and executing marketing plans and strategies across multiple channels; incorporating Bender JCC branding and messaging into all materials; monitoring budgets and ROI for program plans to help departments meet their goals.

Marketing Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Prepares marketing and advertising plans and strategies
  • Oversees the creation of marketing and advertising materials by coordinating with the departments and graphic designer
  • Updates the master communications production calendar and digital communications calendar to avoid conflicts between internal programs and events
  • Oversees the design, production, and mailing of all department publications to ensure that materials are printed on time and on budget
  • Manages copy edits and internal approvals on emails, social media posts, website updates, and print publications prior to the CMO's approval
  • Executes basic graphic design projects such as signage, flyers, and advertisements
  • Executes basic digital projects such as emails, online calendar posts, social media posts, and web graphics
  • Orders and prepares promotional materials by coordinating requirements with graphic designer
  • Administers the responses to internal and external clients from the marketing email inboxes or redirect inquiries
  • Provides excellent customer services to internal departments
  • Monitors budgets through marketing plans and ROI reports to identify if marketing tactics were successful
  • Attends important programs and events for department clients
  • Manages relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Schedules meetings and conference calls

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work at least two JCC center-wide programs or events outside of the agreed upon schedule such as but not limited to department specific events such as Open
  • Houses, Good Deeds Day and Israel Day.

  • Interpersonal skills – Ability to build rapport with a wide range of personality types and create excellent working relationships across all levels of the organization

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • The candidate should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in communications, media, project management or other related field
