The Jewish Studio - Administrative Coordinator (part time)

Are you a social media-savvy problem solver who loves business and creative solutions?

The Jewish Studio seeks a resourceful part-time Administrative Coordinator to help us with the business details involved in our creative, joyous community.  The right candidate is tech-savvy, conscientious, detail-oriented, and has a high level of personal accountability, integrity, and ethical standards. This is a part-time position working approximately 15 hours a week, mostly remotely, with some onsite work related to event and service setup.

 

Position Responsibilities

Marketing:

  • Maintenance of website & social media accounts
  • E-blasts
  • Livestreams
  • Blog posts
  • Analytics
  • Identifying and mastering new platforms

Event Planning:

  • Logistical coordination for services and lifecycle events
  • Inventory management
  • Identifying new locations
  • Establishing relationships with potential locations, rental companies, caterers, etc.

Administrivia:

  • RSVPs
  • Data collection & analysis
  • Materials preparation
  • Responding to requests for information
  • Communication with stakeholders
  • Acknowledgments & tributes
  • IRS Substantiation letters

Requirements:

  • Digitally savvy – able to maintain website and blog, update social media accounts and online calendar,
  • Excellent communicator – written and verbal
  • Marketing background – a firm understanding of data, analytics, and how to use them to promote/enhance engagement
  • Creative problem solver – if you’ve worked with events this needs no explanation!
  • Loves a sense of accomplishment – no task too big or too small (it all counts towards a great participant experience!)
  • Strong Customer Service skills to work successfully with clergy, musicians, venues, speakers, caterers, and of course, participants
  • Familiarity with the Jewish community, its customs and practices

The Jewish Studio is a growing Jewish renewal community-based in Potomac, MD with an ease of access approach to Judaism. We use personal connections, social media and direct mailings to communicate with our community. We examine challenges and opportunities to experience the joy and fulfillment of being Jewish. We study, discuss, sing, create, hike and perhaps ski our way over any obstacles toward a renewed Judaism.

Our mission is to craft a renewed Judaism together, by providing events and experiences to connect us with the joy and spirituality of our heritage.
