Hill Havurah - Operations and Education Assistant
Hill Havurah, an independent Jewish congregation on Capitol Hill, is looking for a part-time Operations and Education Assistant. This 15-30 hour/week position pays $17.50 an hour. Hill Havurah is a thriving community that is eager to welcome a new team member. We are excited and ready for the right person to begin immediately.

We’re looking for someone:
-Reliable, organized and self-motivated who is a flexible team player.
-With an ability to work effectively with volunteers of all ages, including teens.
-Proficient in Google suite and skilled in communication and writing.
-With access to a car or other means of transportation to comfortably bring supplies to various locations around the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

During the week (Flexible hours M-F)
-Complete administrative tasks, such as purchasing and delivering school supplies.
-Send weekly emails to parents and teachers during the school year.
-Assist Rabbi and Director of Operations in preparing for classes and special events.

During Sunday school mornings (4-5 hours, 30 times per year):
-Arrive promptly at 8:30 am to unlock classroom doors.
-Respond to teacher concerns and supply needs.
-Supervise teen staff, observe classes, photograph classes for parents.
-Assist with individual students as necessary.
-Prepare and take down rooms for special events.
-Organize supply room and lock all classroom doors.

On Friday nights, Saturday mornings and community events (3-6 times per month):
-Set-up and break down room for services/community events.

Operations:
-Track and purchase supplies for events, order and maintain office supplies.
-Manage enrollment for Havurah events.
-Assist the Director of Operations with short/long term projects.
