Gan Shalom Cooperative Preschool - Part-Time Lead Preschool Teacher
Gan Shalom is a Cooperative Preschool on Capitol Hill that was founded in 2010 under the auspices of the Hill Havurah. At Gan Shalom, our goal is to create a warm, loving, Jewish community, in which children feel safe enough to accept the challenge to try new things, expanding their horizons and learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. We create opportunities, which facilitate the development of the whole child through active, meaningful play. Through all skills taught, the primary focus is on the development of social- emotional skills as these skills form the basis success in all other development areas.

Gan Shalom Cooperative Preschool is an early educational facility for children ages 24 months-4 years old. The philosophy of Gan Shalom Preschool takes inspiration from the Reggio Emilia theory. What is Reggio? It is a pedagogy described as student-centered and constructivist that utilizes self directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments.
