Jewish Council for the Aging - Senior Writer
Program Administrator, Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) at Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington
Level: 62, Exempt Hours: Full-time

Wage: Starting Mid to High $30s annually

General Function: Provide a high level of program support in eligibility verification, enrollment, orientation and DOL database management. Perform ongoing and varied administrative functions and professional tasks including the supervision of personnel associated with the implementation of the Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program. Maintain a participant caseload, managing assignment placements and monitoring performance. Assist with event logistics.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced office environment, managing numerous administrative tasks. He/She has a minimum of two years’ experience training and supervising staff, minimum of three years’ experience supporting a federally funded program and/or has a combination of experience providing case management and employment and job search assistance. Ultimately finds gratification working with seniors and facilitating employment placements.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) or High School diploma
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and ability to learn new database and software platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Access to a car and willingness to drive throughout Montgomery and Frederick counties (mileage reimbursement provided)
Reporting relationship: Reports to the Director of Senior Employment Services
