Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) - Intake Specialist
General Overview

JSSA is one of Washington metropolitan area’s most established and fastest-growing child, family and senior services agencies, with offices in Maryland and Northern Virginia. Our staff serves a nonsectarian, highly diverse clientele (including children, adolescents, adults and seniors) struggling with a broad range of emotional, social, physical and developmental challenges. JSSA’s Accounting team has an immediate opening for a full-time Intake Specialist to join our team.

Position Qualifications

The Intake Specialist is responsible for responding to telephone calls from potential clients, completing telephone screenings for services, and partners with insurances companies to verify insurance coverage. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage sensitive and confidential documentation, multi-task, and attention to detail. In addition, candidates must be proficient with computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and e-mail programs. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, (concentration in social work or psychology preferred or minimum 3 years of experience.)
