You can make a lasting difference in someone’s life and have a mutually rewarding experience by volunteering at JSSA. JSSA welcomes the involvement of individuals and groups of all denominations who want to gain the experience and derive the satisfaction of helping others in need.
Volunteers play an essential role in SOME’s work, helping to feed the homeless and poor in our Dining Rooms, tutoring children in our affordable housing programs for families, serving vulnerable elderly and more.
From the moment A Wider Circle was founded, volunteers have been at the heart of our efforts. Every day a person volunteers here translates into more families having the opportunity to create stability and independence.
Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington seeks volunteers of all ages to:
-Deliver meals to hospital patients
-Drive the elderly to medical appointments
-Visit the sick and the home bound...
Nourish Now's (NN) mission is to solve two major social issues simultaneously: food waste and hunger. Fresh food is recovered from restaurants, caterers, farms and other licensed food providers throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Food is then donated directly to families in need and partner organizations to help support their food distribution efforts.

It's a great way for everybody to do a Mitzvah! The whole family can participate in these family-friendly opportunities.
